The Healthiest Drink?



Fun Fact:  More people drink tea than Coca-Cola.

Fun Fact II:  The only beverage more widely consumed than tea is water.


There are 4 types of tea:

  • green (contains the most EGCG — a powerful antioxidant)
  • white (contains the most EGCG — a powerful antioxidant)
  • black
  • oolong



  • fighting prostate cancer
  • burning fat
  • bone strength (fending off osteoporosis)
  • cardiovascular health
  • lower rates of Alzheimer’s Disease, diabetes, obesity, arthritis, infections, malaria, and AIDS
  • antioxidants to fight many kinds of cancer (study: 3 cups a day reduced the risk of breast cancer by a third)
  • reduced rate of Parkinson’s
  • caffeine (new evidence shows that caffeine helps with memory, asthma, virility, staving off Alzheimer’s, protecting against skin cancer and cataracts, preventing weight gain)


Below are recipes to promote youthful skin:

(For each recipe, use equal parts.  Steep 2-3 times.)


Tea for Oily Skin:

  • lemon balm
  • yarrow
  • burdock root
  • hibiscus
  • tulsi


Tea for Dry Skin:

  • marshmallow root
  • alfalfa
  • vervain
  • rosehips
  • ashwaghanda


Tea for Combination Skin:

  • dandelion root
  • nettle leaf
  • burdock root
  • chamomile
  • schizandra


Hot Tips:

  • If you buy bottled tea products, there’s a good chance they’re mostly sugar-water.
  • Squeeze lemon into your tea.
  • Add ginger to your tea.
