Jim Kwik’s Morning Routine

Brain expert Jim Kwik includes the following habits in his morning routine:

  • Wait to check your phone until 1 hour after you wake up.
  • Remember your dreams.
  • Make your bed.
  • Brush your teeth with the opposite hand.
  • Drink a glass of water.
  • (I would add meditation in this spot.)
  • Take a cold shower.  (Dave Asprey recommends 1 minute of cold water hitting your forehead and chest — after you’ve had your usual hot shower.)
  • Make a brain tea.  (I prefer Bulletproof Coffee with Bulletproof Brain Octane Oil and Bulletproof Grass-fed Ghee.)
  • Journal.  (I write in my gratitude journal.)
  • Read.

 

What tips would you add to the morning routine?

      1. I just do the simple back stretch (I dont know what it’s called) where I am seated and bend the neck to the waist one vertebra at a time. Then look back on each side extending my arms as I do so. Then the cat strech and the child’s pose 🙂
